Travelling on specially chartered buses the children aged between 7 and 15 were off to Blackpool to enjoy Skating Sessions with the Russian stars at the Blackpool Ice Arena followed by free rides on the famous Pleasure Beach, rounding off the day by watching Natalia and Alexei perform as stars of the show in the popular Hot Ice Show.
Children's Day is now firmly established in Rossendale's annual
calender, with the 2001-2003 event voted a resounding success,
and Natalia and Alexei are busy organising this years
event (2004), which will run from 26th December
